Here we are the day after the State of The Union Address given last night by our beloved President Obama and I must admit...I don't feel no more inspired or filled with hope for a better tomorrow. No before you go HAM on me for saying this...allow me a minute to tell you why.

To begin with...knowing we are coming up on another election year I felt more like he was giving a campaign speech rather than a REAL SOTU address. He pointed out and acknowledged the armed forces and their actions on taking out Osama Bin Laden and the house went wild. Couple things about that...I still DO NOT believe Osama Bin Laden is dead. The press showed us pictures. None of the footage that was released for public viewing showed a body being dragged out or anything to clearly convince me the job was done. Not to mention the fact it was said the body was thrown away at sea. I have served in the military and they WILL NOT acknowledge me or the fact that I served but yet I am supposed to be supportive of them. I feel bad and my heart hurts for those innocent individuals who but into the HYPE of what serving in the military can do for you.

Serving in the military can fuck you up more than it can help you. Unless they succeed in getting you to fully believe their doctrine you are expendable. Look at the many guys and ladies who have served and are fighting to get the basic help and assistance that was promised to them by the military if they served. Some are coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan mentally tore up and the military doesn't feel they need to have any help with transitioning back into a normal (NON-WAR) lifestyle. Many are getting injured and are unable to take are of themselves and the military provides LIMITED assistance with that. Look at the numerous families that suffer mentally, physically, and FINANCIALLY from the lack of assistance provided to them and their loved one that served to defend this country.

I have had the honor and privilege to experience life in the military and I will say that the only difference between military life and civilian life is the fact that you see the same uniforms, Humvees & Tanks all day. At any given second you can be deployed to the woods or another country. But you experience racism (blatant), marital problems, job problems, crime, and everything else you would in civilian life. So it is not as glamorous as it is presented. I was released before my two year mark for defending myself against a Sargent who was drunk and physically tried to harm me. Oh there was NO self defense in my case. The first Sargent made it very clear he wanted to get rid of me because he didn't like me....and he was white. Now will the military investigate that? HELL NO!!! I lost it all because of this. I wasn't an angel but I did try to transition into the military life. And they didn't offer any kind of mentoring assistance. And they don't offer that to the men and woman who find the transition slightly challenging.

So as for that part of the speech...You know I was not all claps.

On to the ECONOMY...Clearly that was obvious. I have worked for some of the BIG IT Companies before and let me say...the way they spend money has always been ridiculous. Millions of dollars on the latest & greatest but few dollars into paychecks. Don't want to pay OVERTIME but expect you to work long hours. Kats who have NO people skills whatsoever in charge and making nice incomes but do NO WORK. They can't manage their way out of a wet paper bag but the suck up very well, got a degree with the word management in it but has NO REAL managerial experience let alone in the field they have been selected to manage. Oh trust I have worked under the direction of quite a few managers who have openly admitted they had NO IDEA of how to run the shop. They had NO IDEA of what we did. I have even worked under managers who stated THEY DIDN'T CARE about what we did (no interest) but they care about how they looked. And these fools were making good money. Staffing agencies only paying $10-$15 an hour for positions that on average would pay $20-$25. You get placed on assignment where their clients are disrespectful and rude and when reported to the agencies they do nothing but offer to replace you. And they make it very clear that they are only concerned about getting that clients money not making sure you remain employed.

Companies are buying all this pretty expensive office furniture and equipment but don't want to pay for training so the employee can do their job properly? COME ON!!!! And let us not forget the many companies that are OUT-SOURCING jobs for tax break purposes. You have to get a phone call from some guy or girl who's English SUCKS!!! They don't understand you and you can't understand them. And when you inform the companies of situations like this, they do little to nothing about it. They would rather EXPORT SERVICES & GOODS for the tax break rather than IMPORT SERVICES & GOODS for income generation. Until these companies spending habits are called to the table of course there will continue to be an economic problem here.

Another thing he mentioned was SMALL BUSINESSES....I have been waiting for this moment....TIME TO GO IN ON THIS!!! So for the last 4 years I have been interested in having my own business since BIG CORP don't think I deserve to work for them (even though I have been accoladed by all I have provided service to). I have taken the few dollars I get to keep an invested in an internet radio station. The reason is because it has been music that has kept me more on a positive mental state than anything. YES MY FAMILIES SUPPORT can be wavering just as much as some of the people I call friends. So because I LOVE doing HOUSE Mixes and I have always wanted to be an on-air show host or personality and since some of my peers think I AM NOT worthy of an opportunity or think I am gonna SUCK them off to get in...I did some research and invested in myself. Now I don't just want this to come off as a hobby, I want this to be a job creator for the person who is also interested in doing this but just can't get a fair chance to get their foot in the door and income generator so that they can be compensated for the time they give to building the station as well as being able to keep the station running so people will be able to enjoy the music we play. Not in competition with anyone just trying to create a situation that will help someone else get a job or have a better day. BUT NO.... I AM A RISK according to the government. I don't deserve a chance to apply for a small business loan. But let me generate income from this without them and they are ready to take the money in taxes.

My peers are so tight and selfish I can get genuine help from those who are established because they think I am trying to take something from them. They act like BIG CORP...they would rather me do it for FREE rather than compensate me for my time. And then just because they give me very little information or help they act like I owe them...SELFISH BASTARDS!!!! There are many of us who have skills and talents that are being overlooked and under-utilized and we deserve to get a fair shot just like anybody else and this is my MAIN MOTIVATION for wanting to do this. I have no doubts that GOD will bless me for blessing someone else through this but if my peers who have small businesses could remember what it was like to be in my position and assist me in the places I could use assistance in...we could be successful together and not have to worry about the ill effects of the way applying for small businesses are. I have heard the stories from those who do what I do. They spend their monies (from other sources) to cover expenses that these so-called small business owners WON'T & DON'T WANT to cover but yet they (the business owner) expects that individual to give their all including loss of personal time for something that is showing NO LOVE OR RESPECT for what they are contributing to the growth & success of the business.

This is a major contributing factor on why JOBS are far and few. Another contributing factor is that job descriptions versus job duties are NOT the same. I have seen job descriptions on some assignments and then when you get on the assignment you end up doing more or something that isn't listed. Or they throw some trick wording in like "other duties as needed" to get around having to rightfully compensate you for things done outside of your normal scope of work.

In closing...As much as I am really proud of the fact that A BLACK MAN has once again landed the biggest job in the world (because Obama WAS NOT the first BLACK PRESIDENT like many of us want to believe...JOHN HANSON was, CLICK HERE to read up and get smart) I still have to KEEP IT REAL with myself and say he has not been as successful as I anticipated or wanted to believe he could be. And this is for quite a few reasons. His biggest is the opposition he faces on the hill whenever it comes to bills and laws being signed. His opposition is not only Republican, it is also Democrat too. His next and another important factor in this is the wavering support he gets from THE PEOPLE...i.e US/Citizens/Black People. There are more of us who (during his tenure) have turned our backs or jumped ship as it pertains to support for him. This is critical on all fronts because when his opposition sees that WE are not behind him and hears us whine about "What he isn't doing" they see the break in the links. Another thing that has an effect is OUR EXPECTATIONS are too high for him. We have become so FIXATED on sticking it to the WHITE MAN and getting reparations that we fail to realize in order for him to truly be successful WE MUST GET OFF OUR HIGH HORSES and GET IN THE TRENCHES!!! We have to get off that "IT'S ALL ABOUT US" SHIT....All these so-called successful black people keeping all the money and we are not challenging them to REALLY REINVEST nor demanding they give some of it back. Instead they keep us DRUNK, HIGH, and constantly remind us off all the things that are wrong with us and our lives instead of getting up off some of those MILLIONS they got stashed away.

Sad part is this....they are NOT WEALTHY, they really aren't even RICH compared to some of their Caucasian peers. They just have more than the average black person does and to a poor person or middle-class person (What is Middle-Class) they appear to be RICH or WEALTHY. But even they are filing for bankruptcy...so really who is rich? I know those filings are to keep from getting sued and having to pay back debt but YOU ILL INFORMED PEOPLE...IT IS DESIGNED TO BE THAT WAY!!!! Once we hear one of our own who is in any field that put them in a much higher income bracket files for bankruptcy the first thing we say is "How could they lose all their money"? FOOL...They never really had all that to begin with. They had more assets than liquid income and it WAS NOT PAID FOR!!! If my estimated worth is at $10 Million you can be rest assured what I have will be PAID FOR IN FULL!!! So we need to get off that trip and really except the fact that WE are the reason why he seems to be failing. Once we can accept that, own up to it where we have contributed, start making our people who can...REINVEST back into the lives and communities that INVEST in their products and services, and STOP JUMPING SHIP WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH....THEN PRESIDENT OBAMA CAN'T BE BEAT....LITERALLY!!!

The worst hurt his opposition can ever get is knowing he was truly successful because THE PEOPLE really had his back!!!
